A white base formulated without SLES or SLS.

Arts & Crafts White SLES & SLS Free Melt & Pour Soap Base is a pre-made opaque, neutral-white soap base formulated without SLES or SLS created for straightforward soap making. Its formula includes aqua, glycerin, coconut oil, cocamidopropyl betaine, glyceryl laurate and titanium dioxide. The solid base can be portioned for one project or a repeat batch.

The neutral-white colour makes a dependable starting point for clean uncoloured bars, pastel shades and decorative designs. Keep it simple by cutting off a piece and using it as finished soap, or warm only the amount you need, add compatible soap-safe colour or fragrance, and pour it into a mould. Test additions in a small batch first and follow each additive supplier's skin-safe usage limits.

Option one

Cut and use as-is.

Cut a piece to your preferred bar size and use it as finished soap. Keep the unused base tightly sealed so it stays protected between projects.

Option two

Melt and make it yours.

Cut even pieces, warm gently without boiling, add compatible soap-safe colour or fragrance, pour into a mould, then cool fully before unmoulding and wrapping.

01Cut

Cut only what you need into small, even pieces so the base melts consistently.

02Melt

Warm gradually in a heat-safe container. Stir between short heating intervals and never boil.

03Customize

Gently mix in soap-safe colour and fragrance according to the supplier guidance for each additive.

04Pour

Pour into a suitable silicone mould, let the soap cool completely, then unmould and wrap.

Heat safety: Use adult supervision and heat-safe tools. The container and melted base can become hot enough to burn.

Storage & shelf life Care guidance

Keep unused base tightly sealed in its original packaging or an airtight container, in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Exposure to air can allow water to evaporate and may cause shrinkage. Under proper storage conditions, plan to use the unopened base within 24 months of receiving it. After making soap, let each bar cool and dry completely, then wrap it promptly.
